The Kismet Account was founded in 1983 and today is a highly respected, progressive volunteer group working to protect stray and feral animals around the world.
Staffed entirely by unpaid self-funding volunteers, who uniquely for such a charity are all drawn from professional backgrounds in the animal welfare or veterinary industries, we carry out our own neutering projects (currently in Portugal, Gibraltar and Greece) and run workshop and equipment donation programmes elsewhere in the world.
You may think you know about flying-vet charities - but we are that bit different. Recognising that effective population control of strays needs a holistic and professional approach, we place as much emphasis on humane handling, capture, and professional education as we do on putting vets on aeroplanes. For this reason we are frequently used as advisors and consultants to a number of national and international charities.
