Figueira Da Foz

Located almost midway between Porto and Lisbon, Figueira is a coastal town of 170,000 citizens. We have worked in Figueira since July 2007, and to date have neutered over 700 feral cats and also 135 dogs from the APAFF Shelter.

We run one of the most locally inclusive projects ever carried out in Portugal, working day to day with local charity APAFF and the Camara Municipal using theri facility, meaning that unlike many other locations in Portugal, our work is legal, sanctioned, and the cats neutered are safe from removal or persecution long term.
