Praia Da Vagueira

Praia Da Vagueira is a small coastal town in Portugal. Regional tourism and fishing form the mainstay.

Since 2008 we have worked with the Gaticao Shelter to help neuter the dogs on site. Our visits have made a huge impact - with more than 230 dogs neutered by our teams so far, the dogs are now able to be housed communally and pens, runs and enclosures are gradually replacing tethers. We have also neutered more than 100 feral cats from the town since March 2008, and trained local volunteers in use of TNR equipment and also donated traps and squeeze cages to the charity.

We work closely with the Gaticao shelter and Vagos muncipality.
